Ingrediants
Yam,Peeled,washed and cut into square tile-like pieces-500 gms
Turmeric,red chilli and corriander pwd-1tsp each
Garam masala pwd-1/2 tsp
Oil to fry
Salt to taste
For the batter:
Chickpea flour-2 Tbsp
Rice flour-1tsp
Cornflour-1tsp
Method
- Mix turmeric,red chilli,corriander and garam masala powders with salt
- Add yam and keep aside for 30 minutes
- pressure cook till the cooker gives off one whistle
- Remove and keep aside
- For the batter,mix together all the flours with enough water to make a thick paste
- Dip yam in the batter and deep-fry in batches till reddish brown on all sides
- Drain and serve hot
